- -The current WHO phase of pandemic alert is 5. According to WHO " the declaration of Phase 5 is a strong signal that a pandemic is imminent and that the time to finalize the organization, communication, and implementation of the planned mitigation measures is short"
- The number of confirmed cases and deaths dropped steeply
- But still flu viruses are unpredictable,It’s not known at this time how severe this new H1N1 flu virus will be in the general population. and there's no guarantee that it couldn't change form. Flu season in the southern hemisphere is just beginning, and if the virus establishes itself in countries like Argentina or Australia, it could cause real damage.
